Sunday Pic Spam

Because pic spams make me happy :)

Some art that I found on Deviant Art:

I love the angle on this picture and how ravaged and exhausted she looks. I can only imagine the emotional wave he's sending to her through the meld.

*giggles*

Mmmm he looks... pleased...

Man Kirk! You are asking to be hurt personally again, aren't you!

Running again

Well, I made it back to the gym this afternoon. I did feel it in my shins again, but that's only because I was going faster than I should have. I know I should take it easy, but... have to talk to the brain. So now I'm doing the "from couch to 5K" running plan. I'm pretty thrilled about it, so let's see if I can go about it without hurting myself. That's always a plus. Mmm... I want to watch "The Company". I think I downloaded it a while back, now I have to dig it up or join it or something. I'm feeling an itch to join a dance class. I think it would be pretty fun and a good way to get into shape.

Ballet? Jazz? Hm, I don't know.

Anywho, I have to stay up tonight, so that I won't be waking up in the middle of the night and listening to the "noise" downstairs. Shoot, can't stand it and I can't get any sleep!

and because I love them so much together:

I should have another Zoe week

And this one for good measure

On a side note, rpg-ing is going swimmingly and we've even branched out into Pinto. Now, I've got a personal problem with Pine's first name and feel quite weirded out when my partner uses it, gasps it, or whatever. So, if I am going to comfortably continue playing Pinto, then we will have to find a nickname for him. Too bad his middle name is so strange, we could have gone with that. Christopher... is a little better, so if all else fails, we'll go with that.

Man, I can't believe that I dropped nearly 400 dollars at Kohls today! But they were having the best sale! I went there looking for sweaters and stuff, and man did I get sweaters, some trousers and three sets of necklaces and earrings. I'm thinking that I should have gotten some sleepwear, but that wasn't that important. More earrings though. I could go back right now, but... I think I've spent enough.

I keep watching "The Skeptic". Zoe is so wonderful in it, I love her. Oh and there was this gorgeous bright yellow scarf at Old Navy that I want to get. And there's a red one too, but I already have a red scarf. I *need* the yellow one to match my jacket and my hat. I'll be one big ball of sunshine on a cold winter's day ;)

Not much is going on with me, I had a better week this time which was pleasant. Let's hope that it continues that way.

Oyin Handmade

Well, I finally got my complete order from Oyin, and I say finally because it did take two weeks to get everything. Well, more than two weeks, but that's neither here nor there. I have 9 items in total and out of the nine, I'd say that I like (off the bat) three. Eh... four. I'm not *that* keen on the Juices and Berries, but it's merely ok. Upon first blush, I think the Greg Juice smells like a bad cleanser, like Pine Sol or something. The honey wash really isn't that great smelling and my biggest disappointment was the scent of the honey hemp conditioner. Oh, youtubers raved about the scent of that and how marvelous it is. I don't doubt that it works marvelously, but the scent... doesn't really make me happy. I was expecting something much better. It smells like old chocolate and old cheap chocolate at that.

Now, I may rescind those statements, as I have not actually used them on my person, so I'm witholding complete judgement until I do. But for now, upon initial sniffing, Oyin Handmade, you do not impress me.

Having said that, I DO like the burnt sugar pomade, whipped pudding (mmm chocolatey) and the shine and define. Funny thing about the pomade and the S&D; putting the S&D on and then the pomade produces a weird smell, but rubbing them together and then applying smells better. Eh, who knows.

So, the clear winner is Karen's Body Beautiful. Not only does she deliver in a very timely manner, her scents are delicious and the product works well on my hair. I still have to find the right amount of product to use though. When I first got it, I'd saturated my hair and the curl was loose and a bit limp. This time, I'd just used a bit of the hair milk (which I'm already running low on!) and some of the Oyin products. The hair is soft, but not as "wet". I can still feel some of the product on the hair, but it's much drier than it was the first time around. So, I think I'll have to put on just a little bit more and perhaps strike a balance. I wonder what the freebie friday will bring, because I definitely will be ordering more from KBB. I think it's cool that she has these free giveaways and coupons. I mean, the stuff isn't *that* cheap, so every bit helps, especially if you're saving on shipping and what not.

It's unlikely that I will be ordering from Oyin again, but if anything it would be the pomade and maybe the shine and define... though I didn't see much shine to the hair. I might be able to produce the same effect with some 100% Aloe gel. So, if I can find that, I'll be ok. I've seen some 99% Aloe gel, wtf? Eh.

Anyway, I was thinking about getting my brow pierced. I probably will not, because I don't want to be fired. So I may just get the ears pierced again. I keep saying that I want to, but I never do it. *shrugs*

There's a new photo of Zoe as Aisha. Man, she looks great!

Maybe that's Cougar in the background??? Fab. I can't wait for the movie. I hope it doesn't suck. Yeah, that's hoping for too much there. Speaking of black actresses, why didn't anyone tell me that Gabrielle Union and John Cho are engaged in that show Flash Forward?? I have to see this!!! Damn. Now I have to sign in and download those episodes. Let's hope they don't just make me mad. TA!

TIRED!

Friday

It's been an interesting week to say the least. But what can I say? Wholly not tempted by eating sweets... except granola and I bought some greek yogurt. It leaves a bitter film on my tongue as an after taste. I guess it's something you have to get used to, but this shit's too expensive to try and "get used to" that's crazy. It's nearly two dollars for a little container. Maybe I need to wait for it to go on sale.

I am going to work tomorrow to use the printer to print out comics and photos of Zach and Zoe. Haha. I just need to finish up with the losers, because I hate rushing into work early hoping to beat people there in order to use the printer without getting caught. I've only got a few issues left (ones I really don't care for) but at least I'll have the entire set... minus those two issues where I just couldn't stand the artwork! I couldn't stand it. I don't think I even bothered to read it it was so horrible. Eh, anyway, that's the plan, and then I'll finish up some other work and head off to Target and Kohls for clothes and organizing things.

I will go to the laundromat on Sunday morning after I sort everything that needs to be washed, get quarters, detergent and something to eat and to read.

The finger thing... as you can see, I've stopped announcing days, but I'm still doing what I promised myself that I would do, so that's not a problem. So the finger looks to he healing up. I've seen some progress so I have hope that this will be the product that works for. I've tried other things, but haven't stuck with them long enough to see if they worked. See, I'm honest :)But this one is convenient and is a type of gel that stays on and dries quickly. So I'm not messing with a cream that I have to rub in or a liquid that spills all around. I'm pleased.

I got a letter from Oyin saying that my first order has shipped. I wonder if they put two and two together and noticed that I placed two orders. I mean how many orders can they possibly get in 24 hours. *shrugs* So I expect another letter tomorrow, or at least Monday about the next order. So yeah, it was about 12 days, which is ok for me. I'll see if I like the stuff, and then place a larger order to stock up with. Then I can see if I want to keep up with Karens or not. I mean Karens ships fast. Within days. This place is slower, sooo... I may pick and choose depending on what I feel works. I like Karens on the third day of a twistout. The first and second days, the hair is still very moist and kind of limp. But that all may be due to the amount that I'm using. I love the smells and my hair is still very soft and still! moisturized. If I had been still using that stuff I used to use the ORS crap, my hair would be dry as brush.

I'm almost out of the hair milk. I'll have to switch to the little sampler bottles I have in the meantime. I still have a lot of the condish, the hair cream and buter. I also have a lot of jojoba oil left. I've been scouring dollar stores for plastic spray bottles, but they only have the large kind. Which is surprising. I had expected to find small bottles. *shrugs* I guess I'll have to check out Target, because I refuse to give my money to those Chinese people at the beauty supply place. They've taken enough of my money.

I had gone to bed a little while ago, but now I'm awake. I think I'll go back to bed. It is late. And because it's still Zoe week...

Today is DAY THIRTY ONE! I went one whole month without eating junkfood. I have had some craving here and there along the way, but nothing that I expected. In the beginning I atisfied it with peanut butter and honey sandwiches and then after a while, I wasn't craving much. Lately I've been eating granola mixes, like blueberry granola that has all pronouncable things in it. No dimethlyklajkeptrausmiehonsnm and color no. 666. I get it from Wegmans, so essentially it's got rolled oats, rice flower, different seeds and milled cane sugar, which of course, sugar is in nearly everything, but what I was concerned with were all of the cupcakes, candy bars, chips soda, etc that I was consuming. I'm not worried about the little bit that I put in my coffee or what's in pasta and bread.

Oh and noticed this morning that I'm loosing my little Bhudha belly. I'm not sorry to see it go. Well, I'm in no way obsessed with my weight. I think I'm just fine and slim, but I just noticed that it doesn't stick out as far anymore. Well, considering I wasn't flooding my system with junk for 31 days, that would affect it. Yeah. so I don't know what my plans will be for the next month. I guess I'll just keep going, maybe pick something else to give up for the next month in addition to this. I don't have that many other vices. Maybe I can try to keep my bedroom clean for an entire month. I can go a week, but then laundry gets out of hand and then everything ends up on the floor. Maybe some storage containers for under the bed will help, little containers around my desk to throw odds and ends in. That should help organize this place. So I'll have to pick up some things from the store then to help out tomorrow.

Anyway, on a lighter note:

Wicked Wednesday

Man oh man! Heroes last night was intense! I was really pleasead with how it turned out although some of the storylines were a bit... out there. It concentrated mostly on Matt/Sylar and Claire and Peter. Noah showed up here and there looking sexy, but that was about it from the main cast. Still no Mohinder, no Angela, no Nathan. Not that I'm really looking for them, but still. The cast has been weeded down severely and maybe that's good, because they're got this new "villan" that they need to develop, so they've got to spend time on doing that. I think Samuel can be likable and can also be hated. If they do him correctly, he can garner a lot of sympathy while he does dastardly things. For example, he showed up at some woman's house asking to look around at the carriage house where he'd grown up and she essentially told him to get lost. I mean, come on! Strange man showing up at your house at night while you're having a dinner party, asking to look around on your property? I'd say no, as well. Well, Samuel didn't take too kindly to that and totally created a sinkhole to demolish the house. Crazy! I didn't feel one way or another about it honestly. It was just something that happened.

With the deaf woman, I think she could be likable as well, but... then again, she can be annoying. If she were a black woman, I'd be all over it. OMG. So all over it. But she's some typical looking white blonde (the writers fap to blondes apparently) so, I'm neither one way or another on her. They're setting it up kind of sickeningly sweet so that Peter can fall for her.

Peter... I used to really like him. Now he's just kind of smarmy. He lost some of that earnest sweetness. That may be on purpose, that may be from the laziness of the writers, but I'd noticed it right away the first time he opened his mouth. I never remembered him being that ... distasteful. Meh...

Sylar... Much better this week than last. While he was still a bit over dramatic, I still liked him. He was looking a bit rough around the edges this time, which makes me think that over time he might start to deterioriate. Last week his hair was nice and neat, shaved etc. This week, he looked like he's spent three weeks on a park bench! Dunno. Well at least he made Matt use his powers, and now they can begin the hunt for his body. Matt is likable, but enough of him. I've had enough.

I liveblogged it with my RPG partner, which really made it fun. We were totally yelling out the same thing at the same time which was too funny. We plan to do it next week. Something to look forward to. And the RPG is going swimmingly. I'm totally loving it.

There's no new news about The Losers, which is like, what? But it's still Zoe Week!

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Ack I miss Zoe worship yesterday! Bad bad... and it wans't like I wasn't here. I was just messing with IE as a browser, which I do not like as much as Firefox, but FF's being a bastard. So in an effort to maintain my sanity, I had to switch. I wonder if there are other browsers out there other than these two. There has to be.

It's Zoe Week!

Let's start it off with my girl crush ;)

Sunday, September 13, 2009

So, I saw the trailer for "Takers". Looks like your pretty typical shoot em up, stealing stuff, stuff exploding and chicks kind of movie. Zoe's in it, but looks like she's "the love interest" again. We see her several times in the trailer and she's got speaking lines every time we see her, but no name in the credits. Chris Brown and some other rapper guy round out the list? Oh hell no. Won't be seeing that. Maybe if it's on the tele, but that's about it. Paul Walker's cute, but I'd be more inclined to see it if Zoe (if she has to be a love interest) was his love interest. Other than that. Meh.

Picspam time!

I love this girl. Seeing her hair always makes me want to straighten my own. But... I like keeping it natural so I won't bother. Though it is as long as hers when stretched :)

... and something special as well. They are so cute together ;)

Mood: : Gleeee!
Damn, what is wrong with people? Fucking assholes... too many of them running around. C'mon have some respect for your fellow person. Is that too much to ask? Reckless drivers and teenaged boys all piss me off.

In other news, I cannot WAIT until people get their hands on a good copy of Star Trek. I swear to god, if i see another over-cropped fan vid. I mean... Spock's head does have a top. You can forget that when you're watching these. haha

I watched "The Skeptic" Saturday. It was pretty decent, though they promised Zoe, they didn't deliver much of her. It was a bit part but I did like the character. I thought she was pretty snazzy as a medium, or whatever the hell she was. So cute.

Neytiri

I found my BOSE headphones! They were in the laundry basket, of all places. I assume that I had them on the bed, or they had fallen to the floor where I was tossing dirty clothes, getting them ready for washing. Then when I scooped them up and dumped them into the basket, there went the headphones. Now I have them and yay!!

I saw the trailer and really wasn't impressed. I didn't know that it was going to be a cartoon like movie. Mmmmm... I might download it :)

But Neytiri's hair here makes me want to get my hair braided again. I'm not adverse to Zach or Sylar waking up in Neytiri's world and well... stuff happens ;)

Oh and oooo... Team Sylar is winning by a huge amount. Go Team Brainzzzzz! And yes, someone did a fab Syloah video using a Britney Spears song. He did such a great job that I immediately hunted for more, but he'd only done one. Bah.

Damn I love writing in this blog.

Monday and it's hot!

Well, was shopping in the market and passed the magazines and who do I see smirking out at me from the rack, but good old Banaboy. Man is he fine. He is so gorgeous, it should be illegal. And I really loved his hair. I have an issue (thanks so someone leaving it on the free table at work) of... Details, I think with him on the cover looking angry and old. I was not feeling that! But if someone leaves this issue, I'm all over it.

Oh, I finished the Losers and let's just say that it was quite unexpected and a bit disappointing. I was like, wtf? Shit. Clay, Aisha, and Cougar die? What the heck. I've never seen that before. And her whole "death to America" thing wasn't really working. I think they could have done a little with their story line without killing them all. Now it makes me wonder what the future of the movie or movies will be. I know that movies change from the comics, but how can you get around main characters dying? Dunno.

Oh and PUSH with Chris Evans was pretty decent. I could have seen a black girl in one of those roles, but, you know Hollywood.

Friday, August 14, 2009

Well... I finally talked to the real estate agent and she seems on the up and up. Now I'm worried that I won't be able to find something that I like in my price range. Poop.

I've seen some behind the scenes shots from The Losers and I was dismayed to see Zoe outfitted in heels and red trousers. I don't remember seeing Aisha wearing anything like that, something impractical for throat slitting and ass kicking. I hope they don't sex her up to the point where she seems improbable... I can see it happening.

Monday

Right, enough with the griping... at least for now. I've decided to work on my pissy outlook on life. It's not really me, per se, it's my workplace. It brings out the worst in me. It really does. It screws up with my happy optomistic tendencies and I don't like it. So, now I've decided not to take it so seriously. Not to take things so seriously and life altering and just have some bloody fucking fun. My life is soooo fucking boring that I could cry. Literally weep buckets, that's how boring it is. I need something. No, not drugs or shit like that, I'm not about screwing with my body, I do that enough *waggles brows*... I am just wanting something, something genuinely fun and exciting.

I suppose everyone is looking for that, eh?

But, for me, it can't be summed up with a trip to the beach or to an amusement park... that kind of thing isn't very fun... and it's boring. Maybe I'm looking for something more dangerous. You know, like those bored housewives who start swinging... haha. no... that's fucked.

Maybe I need to join a demolition derby team and crack some heads. Maybe I should get into a fight at a bar... nah, those fools would follow me out and shoot me or something. Maybe a tattoo... or a piercing in an intimate place.......

I could never really get into a tattoo, because my tastes change so much, so rapidly that whatever design I choose would have to be something very personal and very fitting. I have no idea what that would be though, so... I'll stay away from the permanent ones. I prefer either drawing on myself, or getting the lickandstick ones.

Meh... and man am I so bloated right now. i fucking hate getting my period. There should be an out clause about having it or not having it. I don't mind the bleeding, it's whatever... but the nightmares, the bad moods, the cravings the terrible sleep the bloating... all that shit I can do without. It's unfair and I don't want fucking kids, so why the fuck should I have to go through this shit every fucking months. At least it lasts only a few days, but still, it's a pain in the arse.

Man, this must be my swearing post. How many four letter words can I cram into this post? *laughs*

I started up with the guitar again... have to build up the calluses again. Painful stuff. I wish I hadn't waited so long to pick it up again. It's not like I didn't have any time. I have plenty of time, lack of interest. Bored. See! There it is again. Bored. Bored Bored.

I need to strike that word from my vocabularly. There was a quote from Vigs where he said that there is no excuse to be bored in life. Amen to that Aragorn ;)

Anyway, I'm knee deep in The Losers and am enjoying it very much. Only one complaint and that's with my girl Aisha. Um... doesn't she own clothes that completely cover her belly? Are all her shirts that tight over her bulging breasts that they don't meet the top of her skin tight jeans? I'm asking one of the guest artists, now... Jock's been pretty good about dressing the woman in appropriate clothing. Ok, I'll give the fanboys the boobs, which fortunately are a decent size without being obscene. And what's with drawing on the nipples, eh? Women have nipples, we get it. Sometimes they poke out against the shirt she's wearing, we get it. Sometimes they don't, depending on the type of shirt and bra that she's wearing. Sometimes the nipples point upwards... most times not. Sometimes they get hard when she's experiencing a strong emotion; (as does everyone who has nipples and that covers oh... everyone). Aisha is a woman, who has nipples that may or may not point upwards but godfuckingdamn, do we have to see that she has nipples in every shot. Well, not every shot, but the majority of shots.

I mean, come the fuck on. There was a fantastic panel of her when she stood up to confront Clay after she found out that he was the one who shot her father under Max's manipulation. Great, fierce looking up at her shot, looking ready to spill some blood and what else? Pointy nipples. I literally growled at the page. It was a fantastic moment, fantastic posing and action and expression and for me it was spoiled by that. It said to me, "oh, she's a fighter, powerful woman who takes no shit, but lookit! She's got boobies! oogle her boobies and forget about her emotions and how she's about to kick Clay's balls into his throat".

I'm asking too much, I know... for male artists to treat women like humans, because frankly, men don't give a damn and they know to whom they're catering. Fanboys who pop a boner at the mere hint of a nipple. While female fans are evidently present, the majority are male. So all this ranting is for naught.

But on a whole, she's handled pretty well. I like her a lot. I can't wait to see how they handle Zoe with it. I hope they bulk the girl up, because she is skinny and woul dbe unbelievable in hand to hand combat. Running and shooting, find, but trying to break some guy's neck or bring him down, she'll need some muscle. But you know hollywood... the skinnier the better.

And what post would be complete without a passing mention of La Quinto. Um... I've been revisiting Mylar videos and they are so much fun. Makes me want to buy some cloves again. I have a few left, but they're stale and nasty, bleh. But those jokers are 8 dollars a pack. That's a lot for recreational smoking.

Oh great, my coworker just sat down and already I'm annoyed. *breathe, breathe* Yellow.... *snickers*

Who doesn't want to be a loser?

What? What?! They're making a movie of this? With my girl Zoe as Aisha? Fabulous.

Man, I like Chris Evans, but if they had shoe horned a little QUINTOOOO into this movie, I would be in heaven.

Monday, June 22, 2009

Oh man... just when we had a good thing

Right, so there sounds like there is a Star Trek sequel in the works and I'm fine with that. More than fine, actually. As long as I get to see Zoe's hot ass and the cuteness that is QUINTOOOOOOOOOO! I'm all for it :D

But, what's this I hear about a love triangle between Spock Uhura Kirk???

You mean I have to go from this yumminess and twosomeness:

to add this smary faced joker? God I can't stand him. I really can't stand him and I hated his Kirk. What a way to destroy a character that I loved, man. Screw you and your ugly face. *stabs*

I will be mightly upset if Uhura manages to lose her mind and fall under Kirk's spell. Unless some Ponn Farr-ed Spock tenderizes his ass in an attempt to get her back. *laughs*

*thinks about that a moment*

Man, I would love to see that. The scene where Spock beats on him in the first movie really made my day!

Actually there is an LJ-er who's writing a threesome of sorts with them and she is totally making me love nuKirk, I'm sorry to say. I even told her that. She makes him much more human and tolerable. Unfortunately they didn't do that for him in the film.

It makes me think, would I like and root for Sylar and all his emo, head-cuttiness if he wasn't attractive? Heck no. But, that was the point of casting an attractive man in that role. You love to hate him. Then fuck him.

Oh Mohinder!? There's some work for you to do ;)
